Cookie Policy
Effective date: January 1, 2026. This Cookie Policy explains the categories of cookies used by Reef Mesh Core and how you can control optional collection.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored by a website in your browser. They allow a site to remember a session, recognize a returning preference, or measure how pages are used without storing the entire website on your device.
Cookies are separate from the service records we keep about a fitting or repair, which live in our workshop system and are covered by our Privacy Policy rather than this page.
2. Essential cookies
Essential cookies support security, navigation, accessibility, consent storage, and basic form behavior. The website cannot reliably provide these functions without them, so they remain active when you reject optional categories.
Rejecting optional categories still leaves you full access to product pages, workshop information, and the contact form.
3. Preference cookies
Preference cookies remember choices such as display settings or a previously selected cookie preference. They make repeat visits more convenient but are not required to browse product or policy pages, and clearing them simply resets those settings to default.
4. Analytics cookies
If enabled, analytics cookies help us understand which pages are useful, whether forms are completed, and where visitors encounter errors. We use aggregated information to improve service explanations and workshop planning, not to identify a specific visitor.
5. Marketing cookies
If enabled, marketing cookies may help measure interest in Reef Mesh Core announcements, service days, or new equipment. We do not sell cookie profiles or use them to infer sensitive personal characteristics.
These identifiers typically last up to 30 days and are cleared automatically once that window passes, rather than building a long-term advertising profile.
6. Local storage
The cookie controls use browser local storage to remember whether you accepted, rejected, or customized categories. This preference is stored on your device and is not itself a customer account or purchase record.
Because it is device-specific, clearing your browser's storage or switching to a new phone will show the banner again even if you chose a category before.
7. Third-party services
Our hosting, security, map, or measurement providers may place their own technical identifiers when their services are enabled. Their handling is governed by their own notices, and we select providers with appropriate security and privacy commitments.
We review this list periodically and remove any provider that no longer serves a clear purpose for the shop or its customers.
8. Your controls
Use the banner's Accept, Reject, or Customize controls to choose categories. You can also delete cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Removing essential data may reset the banner or affect normal site behavior, so expect to make a fresh selection afterward.
9. Browser signals
Some browsers offer global privacy controls or do-not-track settings. We assess available signals as technology and legal requirements develop; the on-page preference control remains the clearest, most reliable way to record your choice for this site.
10. Retention
Cookie lifetimes vary by purpose. Consent records remain only as long as reasonably needed to remember your selection and demonstrate responsible operation. Analytics or marketing identifiers may expire earlier according to the relevant provider's settings.
11. Updates
We may revise this policy when we add a service, change a provider, or respond to legal requirements. The effective date will be updated at the top of this page.
12. Questions
For questions about cookies or your preference, email hello@reef-meshcore.com or write to Reef Mesh Core, 4-9-11 Nozawa, Setagaya Ward, Tokyo 154-0003.
13. What this site currently stores
The essential cookie reefmeshcore-cookie-choice records your Accept, Reject, or Customize decision for 12 months, so the banner does not reappear each time you visit. It holds only your selected categories.
Fonts loaded from Google's servers keep the site readable and can involve a technical connection to Google separate from the categories above; disabling that connection in your browser may affect how text renders but does not change what we store.
